Whilst you're reading this I'll be in Majorca soaking up some rays, probs with a cocktail in one hand and a chick-lit read in the other, so there's that for you to envy.

Anyway, today is Friday and that means it's time for a weekly faves post.

At the start of the week you may have seen this post about my highstreet makeup haul and a few of my buys from there may have also snuck into this post at the end of the week. As well as a few makeup-y bits, there's a fair amount of food and drink in this weeks post too.

1. Makeup Revolution Blush & Contour Palette in Golden Sugar

How could I not start off with this bad boy?! It's just so dreamy and magical and fab and beautiful and, well you get the idea. Just look at it in all of it's shiny and glittery gorgeousness. At £6 I really couldn't say no. By no means does it even look £6 anyway!

Claiming to be a "Blush" palette, and being the anti-blush user that I am, I shocked myself when I bought it. Yeah okay, I'm not the biggest fan of blush but JUST LOOK AT IT. I've already tried out a few of the shades already and have used a couple of them as contour, highlight and a bit of a bronzer, so this isn't just a "blush" palette.

It's perfect for brightening up your face for the summer and the powders could also be used for eyeshadow too - how versatile!

Go get this palette. Even if you buy it just to drool over. Go get it.

2. MUA Lipstick in Shade Juicy

Another product from my highstreet makeup haul, I've mentioned this lipstick here already but it defo needs another mention. For £1 I really can't complain. MUA did good with this one.

Juicy is MUA's your-lips-but-better kinda shade and is a creamy pink shade which is perfect for everyday wear. Not only does this £1 bargain just come in bullet form, unscrew the bottom and you also get a small potted version of the stuff, it's bloody fab.

3. Veggie Percy Pigs

Ever since I heard that M&S were (supposedly) going to stop selling their Percy Pigs by the checkouts, I had a sudden urge to go buy a pack asap.

And I did.

We all know how good those little piglets are, they just taste heavenly and there are so many different combos to buy. But I thought I'd change it up a bit and buy the veggie pack. And in all seriousness, they're SO much better than the non-veggie ones. I don't know how, but they just taste amaze.

Oh yeah and soz about the empty packet in the photo. What was I supposed to do? Take and photo and then eat them? Nah. They were too good to wait for.

4. Arizona Pomegranate Green Tea Drink

Cute packaging or what?!

I'm a fan of Arizona Green Tea for two reasons, #1 for the packaging and #2 because they taste so damn good. You get half a litre and for 99p I aint complaining. It's so fruity and refreshing and tastes just as good as the packaging looks. You can get these from most places now as many supermarkets are jumping on the American band wagon and stocking all kind of (overpriced) American food stuffs.

If you're into green tea, fruity drinks or cute packaging, go and pick up this dreamy drink and quench your thirst.

5. Toe Ring

I was debating whether or not to include a photo of my toe ring in this bcos y'know, toes and feet are kinda gross and yeah well, you get the idea. But this little beauty is something I picked up a couple of years ago on, you guessed it, a summer holiday. Toe rings and ankle bracelets are just typical holiday souvenirs and of course keeping to tradition, I bought one (I'll probs make it a thing and buy another toe ring on this hol).

But anyway, this one in particular is from a market in Cyprus so soz, can't link where to get it from unless you trek it to Paphos in search for it but c'mon toe rings aren't hard to find. It's just a simple toe ring style band with suns engraved around it. Super cute.

This little bit of metal on my toe makes me feel all Mediterranean and cool and summery (this toe ring is about as summery as I get). So there's that for you to picture.

That's all for today's post brb whilst I go get another Sex On The Beach and soak up some rays (lol soz).

Thanks for reading!

As I'm writing this I'm currently lying half on and half off my bed, I have a throbbing pain in my armpits from Tuesday's pre-holiday visit to my salon, hair that is way overdue for a wash and wearing a jumper with, what I'm pretty sure is remains of this morning's porridge oats all down the front. So there's that.

You've really out done yourself Bethany, you really have.

But as you're reading this, all the above will be a thing of the past as right now I'm probably in the air jetting off to sunny, sunny Majorca for a summer holiday with my Mum. Don't be too jealous.

Anyway, blog post and that.

Today's post will take you back in time to some of my old posts from as long ago as 3 years - yes 3 whole years! From grainy iPhone 4s quality and poorly written humour to some of my most popular posts and ones that I'm pretty chuffed with. This blog post will give you a whistle stop tour of old blog posts of mine and whether you've been reading from the very beginning since 08/11/2013 or a more recent frequenter, here's some blog posts for you to read, remember and enjoy...

1. My Most Popular Post, Ever

Read here

This one gave me viewing stats that I've never seen before. The number of views on that post is still a healthy 5 figure number and one that still gets shared on various social media platforms daily - needless to say, I am pretty proud.

If you're not from or familiar with Bournemouth then I apologise because well really, you *probably* won't get the gist of it. But for all you Bournemouthians (and in particular, born and bred Bournemouth girls) this one was for you.

Oh and yes, the girl in the middle with her legs spread apart, that's me, yep.

2. My First Ever (Real) Post

Read here

I say "real" post because the first was a 2 sentence long introduction and is, quite frankly a bit boring. Way back when in November of 2013 I started this blog which, as some of you may know, was previously called editedstyle.blogspot.com, this was my first ever real post.

I had a blog previous to this one where I'm sure I had written an essay long post about my "Top 9 Drinks" (which I think you'll be able to find here) which included everything from Costa to Lidl's Don Simon OJ - says it all really.

But on this particular corner of the Internet, my first post was titled "Which Watch" and, being the amazing linguist that I am, I thought it sounded pretty clever. It was a post about the three watches I owned at the time, one of which was a fake Ice Watch classy or what. In that post I basically just described each watch and ended the post with "Stay beautiful" *grabs sick bucket*.

Bless my 15 year old self.

3. The One Where I Wrote A Short Story About E.L.F.

Read here

Oh God. Yep. What you just read was true. Picture this, I had just discovered e.l.f., the pocket money priced online makeup shop and back then I thought I had dug up gold. I really thought I had just won at life.

I was buzzing with my 32 piece eyeshadow palette, my plumping lipgloss and liquid eyeliner to name but a few of my purchases. Don't get me wrong, I love e.l.f. and some of these buys are still firm contenders in makeup looks I wear now but reading this blog post back to myself just makes me die a little inside.

I paired this story with an equally as cringe photo, one that has more grains than a bag of rice.

Ahh the 2013 Bethany really was fab.

4. My Most Popular Listicle (List Post)

Read here

I'm a big fan of list posts. They're fun to read as well as write. They are always so relatable and relevant and just fab really.

I've written a few in my blogging time and this one is the most popular, closely followed by 25 Problems Only Kids Who Grew Up In The Noughties Will Remember.

It features one of my fave photos ever with some of my friends and the post itself basically depicts the mind of a teenage girl 24/7. From diets to clothing dilemmas, it gives you 58 lies that have probably crossed your mind at some point in your life. Go and have a read if you haven't already.

5. That Recipe Post That Went Down A Treat

Read here

Eh, see what I did there?!

No but seriously, I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, but I'm gonna blow it anyway. Oh and warning, this one also contains grainy iPhone 4s photos, I apologise.

This is one of my all time fave recipes and recipe posts. I've got people hooked on this 2-ingredient recipe and it really is delish. This guilt-free recipe post contains 7 too many dodgy angled photos but the recipe itself is fairly straight forward and one that you could most definitely recreate yourself.

So go on, do my stats a favour and dig up with post from my blogging past, give it a read and try out the recipe whilst you're at it.

6. *Probably* My Worst Post Of All Time

Read here (if you really want to)

Okay, you may beg to differ but this post is quite frankly bloody pointless. At the time of writing this I was (apparently) in dire need of a boyfriend coat and this post basically now looks like a plead for help in search for it. Don't even ask what I was thinking when writing this but it was written back in the January of 2014 so I can just blame my 16 year-old self for being such a loser.

Oh and to this day I don't own said "boyfriend style/cocoon coat, preferably in a dark colour".

And that's it for today's post.

I hope you've enjoyed this blast from the past at found some hidden gems that you may fancy giving a read.

Thank you for reading!

I've never really been a jean-y kinda gal. I've never found any that fit me well enough to splurge a decent amount of money on. Don't get me wrong, I do own jeans. I've got countless pairs of black jeans, three pairs of ripped jeans and a pair of white jeans but blue jeans haven't existed in my wardrobe for a long time.

Yes I know, blue jeans are iconic, they're classic. They're a key staple piece in any girl (or boys) wardrobe, they're so easy to throw on with a plain tee or a cosy knit jumper and can be dressed up or down with ease. However, I just haven't found "the one" yet (still talking jeans, guys), I haven't found those jeans that fit like a glove or ones that make me say "yeah, you da one" but I've found a pretty good pair to last me till said jeans venture into my life.

The ones in question are (as you can probs guess by the title) a pair of Mom jeans. They're just a bit baggier than normal straight leg jeans with a rolled cuff and these ones have rips too.

These were on sale in Sainsbury's for a steal at £9 and I simply just could not get them. I've never really worn this style of jean before and just only ever stuck with super skinny jeans but I can't wait to style these and see how they look.

In my head I can see them with a basic white tee and Birks for a casual look and also with nude heels and a white shirt for a dressed up look - guess that means there will be and OOTD coming very soon.

Let me know how you style Mom jeans if you own a pair!

P.S. These photos were taking with the last inch of sunlight shining in my room so soz for the poor quality

Okay so this happened. Don't blame me, blame payday. I mean I didn't splurge too badly and I need actually need all of it so yeah, that's my excuse.

On yesterday's trip to Superdrug, it (thankfully) wasn't a disappointing one and I managed to pick a few goodies as pocket money prices.

So without further a-do, here's ma haul...

1. MUA Lipstick in Nectar

Okay so I've never bought a lipstick that was £1, it just doesn't seem legit. It seems almost too good to be true, but from reviews I've heard and read I thought I'd give them a go.

Like it's name, Nectar is a peachy/coral shade which is more orange than pink. It has a light yellow undertone making it a lipstick shade that'll suit most, if not all complexions. Considering the £1 price tag, the application of the lipstick is surprisingly good. The lipstick doesn't drag on the lips when applying and leaves you with a glossy, opaque finish.

This is defo a shade that's perfect for the (sunny) summer months and one that I'm looking forward to sporting on my hols.

2. MUA Lipstick in Juicy

Another pocket money buy from MUA, Juicy is a creamy pink shade of the bunch and a your-lips-but-better kinda shade. It's perfect for everyday wear and like Nectar, it applies with a breeze and lasts about 3 hours before needing to re-apply.

Unbeknown to me when I bought it, the bottom of the lipstick actually screws off and as well as getting the lipstick in the bullet form, you also get it in a small handy pot - not bad for £1, eh?

From left to right; Nectar and Juicy.

3. MUA Anti-Bleed Lip Liner in Clear

I saw this and didn't know what to think. Yes I know it's a lip liner and yes I know that lip liners are designed to stop your lipstick from bleeding but this one is clear so I had to get it - y'know to test it out. Due to it being clear, it means you can wear it with every lip shade you want and doesn't mean you have to have a different lip liner for every lipstick.

I'm yet to try it out for a long period of time but when I do, you'll be sure to see a review here asap.

Stay tuned.

4. Travel Size Garnier Micellar Water

We all know about Garnier Micellar Water (if not, where have you been?!?!) and it's one of my go-to's and a product I use on the daily (I mention it here). I picked it up in a travel size for my hols to Majorca this week and it'll be the perfect size for a weeks trip.

5. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Cool Medium 2

Another go-to of mine, I mentioned here in my empties post how my concealer had finally run out and that it was time to buy a new one. At £4.19, it doesn't exactly break the bank every purchase but I was super happy when I saw that it was half price in Superdrug - and they had my shade.

6. Makeup Revolution Blush & Contour Palette in Golden Sugar

I've defo saved the best till last. This palette is a thing of beauty. It's basically makeup porn. It's just so dreamy. Just take a moment and look at it. Go on, stare at it. It's beautiful, isn't it?

This was also from Superdrug and from the Makeup Revolution concession and (listen to this bit) it was a steal at only £6 (I know amazing). For £6 the quality of the powders are amazing, they are highly pigmented and a good variety of different colours. I'm obsessed with this and all the powders are such beautiful shades that I know I'll get SO much use out of.

*inserts about 500 eye heart emojis*

That's all for today's post!

And so to conclude a week frantic of holiday shopping fuelled by iced coffee and chocolate (lots of), it's finally Sunday. This Sunday doesn't come with the added Sunday night feels of school the next day thanks to the summer holidays.

My holiday to Majorca is 4 days away and I'm currently 4 stone too heavy to go so there's that.

Anyway, less babble and more of what you came here for, a My Week In Photos blog post.

Mini Golf

The last week kicked off with a game of mini golf with my family. I of course lost because, y'know I'm not the best golfer and all Wii Sports has taught be about golf is what a bogey and a birdy are. Nevertheless, the day in itself was fab and to top it off it was a beautiful sunny day - thanks Mr Sun.

Jeans

I gave my wardrobe (well, two extra large and *slightly* overflowing Ikea rails) a good old rummage through to find some long lost summer clothes for my holiday - to be honest I kinda looked like I was rummaging through the £1 Primark rack trying to find a 50p bargain. And amongst the black and white clothing, I managed to find some black ripped jeans that I made 2 years ago. I can't think why I hadn't worn them since and for a DIY jobbie, they aint too bad. They still fit (thank goodness) and I've been wearing them all week (don't worry, they have been washed).

They're the perfect summer bottom half for me, the rips show just enough skin for them to be acceptable to wear in summer. So there we go, I've rekindled my love for my long lost black ripped jeans - hurrah!

Bike Ride

After having a spontaneous moment the other day, my brother and I decided to go on a bike ride together. We first of all went to visit our Nan and then to quench our thirst, we took a trip to our nearest Starbucks and treated ourselves to a refreshing cold drink.

This photo is of me wearing said ripped jeans on my bike which my Dad kindly made me.

Grease

You may have seen in this post that last Thursday when my mum and I went to watch Grease at the theatre. It truly was an amazing production even though I *might* have been a bit embarrassed at my Mum singing and dancing to all the songs.

Makeup At DFMA

On Friday I was lucky enough to spend the day at DFMA and have my makeup done by my cousin who is now a qualified MUA. I got the chance to be her model and the photo you can see is an editorial look that she created on me. You can read more about the look and DFMA here.

That's all for today's post, thank you for reading!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to model at Davinia Fermi Makeup Academy (read more about the academy here) for my cousins final piece. She has been studying there on a week long fashion, TV and bridal makeup course and in order for her to graduate, she had to demonstrate the skills and techniques that she has learnt and produce one final piece.

I was fortunate enough to be her model for the day and for her final piece she created an editorial look on me with a dark smokey eye and nude lip.

The makeup used ranged from DFMA makeup from the academy as well as MAC, Bobbi Brown and Urban Decay.

Here's some of the makeup:

Face

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC25 and NC35
Bobbi Brown Concealer in Beige

MAC Prep & Primer Pressed Powder
Ben Nye Luxury Banana Powder
DFMA Setting Powder
theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter
Laura Mercier Bronzing Powder
MAC Blush in Pinch O' Peach

Eyes

Urbay Decay Naked 2 Palette
MAC Shimmer Pigment in Naked Deep Dark
MAC Pencil Eyeliner in Black
Diorshow Mascara in Black

Lips

MAC Lipstick in Yash
MAC Lipliner in Spice

After she had completed the look and was happy with the finished product, a professional photographer snapped some photos which I will be able to show you in a few weeks time.

So overall I had a wonderful day and I can now happily say that my cousin did graduate and is now an official makeup artist!

Thank you for reading!
