There's Something Happening This Weekend That You Don't Want To Miss

The American lifestyle is coming to Dorset.

From fast cars to fast food, the coastal county of Dorset is taking some tips from our cousins from across the pond.

Over two days, the Hurn Bridge Show Ground (next to Bournemouth International Airport) will be transformed into an American wonderland where classic cars, American cuisine and typical American sports will all be taking over the venue for a weekend to remember.

The show, specialising in motors, is revving up the pace to bring you everything from vintage to military and even racing vehicles, all for you to enjoy. So be prepared to be put into 5th gear as you whizz around the motor show stands and see vehicle displays like no other.

But if cars aren't your thing, fear not for the Route 66 shows caters for all. Does a spot of Lawn Mower racing start your engines? How about giving yourself a chance to let your hair down and take the weight of your feet at the fun fair? Whatever you fancy, the Route 66 show will have it covered.

Welcoming all, the two day event is family friendly and suitable for all ages. From children to adults, males and females, there's something for everyone - you'll definitely be spoilt for choice. Ditch the packed shores of Bournemouth Beach this weekend and cruise on over to the Route 66 show where the real fun will be had.

With the weather set to be a scorcher, the Route 66 show is the place to be.

Make sure you tend to your tastebuds at the show and tuck into everything sweet or savoury. If you're a sweetie fiend, exquisite chocolate, delicious donuts and Miss Marshmellow will be available at over 20 different food stands. But if you're more of the savoury type, how about locally brewed cider? Or take a bite out of The Big Apple and tuck into treats from Brooklyn Slice, Olives and Things or try the classic American treat that is grilled cheese courtesy of Gourmet Grilled Cheese. Whether you venture into the Food Hall or take a browse around individual stands, fill your belly with tasty treats and quench your thirst with anything from cider to coffee because The Route 66 show has it all.

But the fun doesn't stop there! Make the fun and enjoyment of the day last and stay for the Drive In Cinema showcasing Grease at 6:30pm and Days Of Thunder at 9:00pm on both nights. Grab a bag of popcorn, tune in whilst in the comfort of your own car and watch classics on the big screen the way the Americans do.

Give us a C, give us a H, give us a double E and give us an R. What does that spell? Cheer! Yes that's right, not only will there be cars, an outdoor cinema plus much more for you to enjoy, myself and the rest of my cheerleading squad will be there to! Showcasing our newest routine, watch us as we shake our pom poms and entertain you whilst you relish in the American dream that is happening right here in Dorset this weekend.

YOU don't want to miss it.

Bring friends, bring family just make sure you're there as the Route 66 show is a once in a lifetime experience that is any car enthusiasts dream.
