The Basic Cami

Having been only around for just over a year, the simple chiffon cami top has made an indent into almost every clothing store on the highstreet. Varying from effortless black to more brighter, bolder colours, these cami tops have even ventured into the print world and brought back patterns from the likes of snake print, floral and Aztec.

Chucking over a pair of skinnies, these tops can be toned up a notch with a statement necklace, court shoes and an oversized clutch or for a more everyday look swap the heels for flats, ditch the clutch and throw on a black leather jacket.

As we edge into the summer, (or for those in England, as the rain gets warmer) there's no suprise that more pastel colours creep into stores and somehow manage to creep into our wardrobe. Over the past year, I've manged to accumulate a number of basic cami tops in a variety of colours but sticking to the pastel theme, three from my collection tie in perfectly to the trend.

The three above range from different highstreet stores and with that they range in sizing. Personally, I tend to pick up a size 10 as the more loose, airy fall feels more comfortable however I do recommend to try before you buy as sometimes the front can be ultra low - especially in primark!

Blush, white and pale yellow are versatile colours and not only are they pastel but they're three of my favourite from my collection. A current favourite outfit of mine has to be pairing the pale yellow cami with a good pair of white skinnies and aviators - a perfect summer look!

This is where I'll wrap up this post for now as the sun has made an appearance and I can here it calling my name.

What will you be pairing your cami top with this week?
