My Week In Photos #11

It's Sunday and that means is time for a round up of the week. Last week you were unfortunate enough to not get a My Week In Photos from me (yeah soz about that) so I've got a bumper edition for you today - kinda like an issue of Girl Talk when you get extra free stuff.

So here's what I've been up to...

1. Route 66 Show

If you have no idea what The Route 66 Show is where the eff have you been?! You can read my post about it here if you're really lost.

The Route 66 Show was a motor and American themed two-day event that took place (conveniently) on the 4th of July. As you can see in the photos above, I attended sporting an American styled cheer uniform with some sassy American flag hotpants and white and red accessories.

The weekend saw the likes of Cadillacs, cheerleaders and classic cars parade around an American wonderland where everything from wrestling, lawn mower racing and all kinds of motors were on the agenda.

If you didn't manage to make it, then you really missed out. But fear not because it's going to be bigger and better the same time next year (more details here).

2. Brunch With My Bro

The other day, when my brother was actually out of bed in the morning, we decided to have some bro n sis bonding and have an impromptu brunch together. We didn't go out anywhere and all that was on the menu was toast and spreads but it was a lovely time to catch up, make plans and spend time with him.

3. Afternoon Tea

To celebrate my parents revamping and "shabby chicing" the summerhouse in our garden, we invited our neighbours over for a spot of afternoon tea in the summerhouse itself. Stuffed with smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, scones and all kinds of nibbles we sat and relaxed in our new(ish) summerhouse and talked over our plans for our holiday together later on in the year.

How British of us.

4. Sky Pic

It's tradition, c'mon. I snapped this little beauty the other day when the clouds looked like the insides of a 15 tog duvet and were a fab photo opportunity. The sky has been doing all sorts with the clouds recently and it looks pretty damn cool if I must say so.

But anyway, here's a pic of the sky if you didn't know what it looked like.

5. Flower Field

This is my dog Hector, doing what he does best, sniffing. He sniffs like it's going out of fashion. He sniffs his own farts, he sniffs other dogs farts, he sniffs grass and even sniffs air.

But anyway, I took this snap the other day on a lovely sunny morning when I took him out for a walk to a local green near my house and couldn't help but stop and take a photo bcos durh look at those flowers! This sea of yellow looked so beautiful and if you look really closely you can see one red Poppy somewhere.

And that's all for today's post.
