Review: Benefit License To Blot

1/3 of the POREfect trio, License To Blot, is Benefits newest edition of the clan with 100% of users saying that they saw continuous mattifying action and 100% said it absorbs excess surface oil - it's definitely a product to get your mitts on.

But if these statistics don't sway you to buy it, then keep reading.

Ever since I got my first spot, I've always suffered from oily skin. It was never excessive and was something that a little powder touch up every couple of hours could fix. But my oily t-zone always looked cakey and after trying every powder under the sun - even oil blotting sheets did nothing but take off my makeup - I was waiting for a miracle.

And when this little yellow number popped through my letterbox last week, I'm sure light shone out of the packaging when I opened it. What lay before me was potentially the answer to all my oily t-zoned issues and the cure for makeup which dissolved on my face throughout the day.

I couldn't wait but try it out.

Luckily it was half way through the day when I opened this and my makeup was due for a powder touch up. But instead I thought I'd leave the powder and Kabuki brush aside and opt for this balm-like stick instead.

I focused mainly on my t-zone because that's where said oil tends to build up. I twisted up like product and dabbed it onto shiny looking areas. And that was it. I was hooked. My shiny patches had vanished and in their place lay perfectly matte yet naturally dewy skin. Don't ask how or why it works, but it just does.

It turned my makeup from looking like it had been on my face for half a day (which it had) to looking as good as new and as if I had just applied it.

The only issue with it though is that some of your makeup gets rubbed off onto the stick itself but with a quick wipe, it's gone and it's back to normal.

You can use it just like you would with a lip balm. When you feel your lips getting dry or chapped, whip out your lip balm, apply and then you're done. And that's just like the License To Blot but instead you apply it to your face where you need mattifying, then you're done and only in a matter of seconds.

Now I'm defo going to keep this on me and use it whenever some oil makes an appearance.

You did good Benefit, you did good.
