Recipe: Overnight Oats

Do you want a breakfast that makes itself whilst you sleep? Then hello, I have the answer.

Forget faffing around in the mornings trying to make yourself a carb-a-licious and sugar filled bowl of cereal and opt for something healthy and hassle free.

Overnight oats are the answer.

Calling all multiaskers, overnight oats are the breakfast that you can make whilst sleeping. With no cooking and no strict recipe to follow, doesn't it sound like the perfect breakfast?!

And so here's how to make this breakfast that'll be ready for you to grab in the morning...

...there's only one catch.

You have to make it the night before. Hence the term overnight oats. But still, you'll have plenty of more time in the mornings to do important things like your makeup.

Here's what you'll need to make my fave overnight oats

Ingredients:

75g of Oats
200ml Soya Milk
Handful of blueberries
3/4 of a large banana
Handful of walnuts
One teaspoon of linseed, goji berry mix

Method

1. Pick out your favourite Mason Jar (or another pintrest-y looking jar) and pour in the oats and milk.

2. Give the mixture a little stir.

3. Next, put in the flavour! I've decided to use banana, blueberries, walnuts and a seed mix but you can use anything. How about agave, vanilla extract, dried mango, coconut chunks or flax seeds?

4. Give the mixture another stir.

5. Cover with a lid or cling film and place it in the fridge overnight.

6. In the morning, simply take it out (add any toppings if you're feeling adventurous) and tuck in!

Or even better, take it with you on the go!

The flavour combinations and possibilities are endless so try it with anything and everything - within reason obvs - and enjoy!

Let me know if you give it a try!
