Why Eyelash Curlers Make All The Difference

I've always used eyelash curlers and they're a step I never fail to include in my make up routine. For some people however, eyelash curlers can look horrifying and come with the fear of ripping out all of your eyelashes. But once you know how to use them, you'll never look back.

Eyelash curlers can be bought for as little at £1 or even £20 depending on where you buy them. Like most beauty products, the more expensive and high-end brands are generally a lot better than the cheaper, drug store brands however they both do the job fine. Without eyelash curlers you can probably achieve your desired length, colour and perhaps a bit of volume (whilst using a mascara as well). However, if you throw a trusty pair of eyelash curlers in the mix, its a whole other story and, if used correctly, eyelash curlers can turn your eyelashes from ooh to OOH LA LA in a matter of seconds. They add volume to your lashes and make it a lot easier to apply your mascara.

How to use eyelash curlers:

1. You will need to be facing a mirror (until you turn pro at it) so you can see what you are doing.

2. Bring the eyelash curlers close to your face and place your top line of lashes in between the rubber pads.

3. Squeeze down on the pads or rings of the eyelash curlers for 2 to 3 seconds.

4. For more curl, tilt the eyelash curlers upwards into your eye socket and hold for another 2 to 3 seconds.

5. Bring the curler back down out of your eye socket and very gently release.

6. Repeat on the opposite eye.

Once you've got the hang of it, it becomes simple and you'll question yourself why you never used them before!

By using eyelash curlers you are adding more volume to your eyelashes which, when coated with mascara, allows your lashes to look much fuller than just using mascara alone - who doesn't want fuller looking lashes?!

Here are some eyelash curlers for under £10:

H&M - £3.99

No.7 - £7.25

Models Own - £6.00
